Following the inspection carried out by trail technicians, this trail has been declared of "limited adequacy" as a result of the faults detected in the signage. These include inadequate horizontal signs (paint markers) and/or vertical ones (trailheads and information boards) or lacking direction markers that do not provide sufficient information to properly follow the route. The builder of this trail has been informed of the situation.
For safety reasons and during maintenance work, it is advised to be extremely careful while taking this route. Furthermore, mountain sports entail risks associated with the activity itself and the environment where they take place, for which any person is fully liable. For this reason, hikes need to be planned properly and adequate training, equipment and sensible use of the trails are required.

A beautiful route to the highest point of the town of Elda, El Alto de Cámara, at an altitude of 837 meters, going around the entire peak with the possibility of ascending to its summit. A magnificent viewpoint of the Sierra del Cid and Marín, with all of the Vinalopó Medio at its feet.

Route description (only available in Spanish)

Desde los Jardines del Vinalopó nos dirigimos hacia el norte, tomando la rotonda de la CV-8351, donde cruzaremos por debajo de las vías del tren a través de un paso estrecho. A partir de aquí, seguimos por la pista de tierra que asciende en dirección al Marín, conocida como la rambla de Melva.

Una vez en la casa del Marín debemos bordearla por la derecha. Continuamos por la pista principal hasta llegar a la carretera asfaltada que sube a los Collados.

Al llegar a la carretera, seguimos ascendiendo hacia los Collados, aparcamiento principal de la zona de escalada del Marín.

El recorrido continúa paralelo a la carretera, por un sendero bien definido, hasta llegar al aljibe del Marín. A partir de aquí, la carretera asfaltada se convierte en una pista de tierra, con un leve ascenso hasta enlazar con el PR-CV 25. En este punto, tomamos el sendero hacia la derecha, por una pista de tierra que bordea toda la cima de Camara.

Un poco más abajo, tomamos la primera bifurcación a la derecha, con fuerte pendiente, y luego un sendero a la izquierda, que sigue llaneando y rodea toda Camara hasta llegar nuevamente a los Collados, cerca del aparcamiento.

Desde este punto, seguimos el mismo trazado que en el ascenso, regresando a los Jardines del Vinalopó.
